- Sow seeds from mid-March to early July in modules or trays undercover.
- Sow 1cm deep in moist seed compost and lightly cover.
- Keep soil moist and the seeds should germinate in 7-14 days
- Pot on seedlings once large enough to handle, maintaining bright, cool conditions.
- Transplant outdoors from mid-April to July, spacing plants 40–50 cm apart.
- Harvest from June to October when heads are firm and dark green, cutting regularly to encourage side shoots.
