- Sow indoors from January-March on the surface of a good quality compost.
- The seeds will benefit from being chilled overnight prior to sowing.
- Lightly press the seeds into the soil and don’t cover the seed.
- Place in a heated propagator between 20-25c for 10-21 days.
- When seedlings are 2-3 inches high, transplant into 7.5cm and move to cooler conditions.
- Pinch the seedlings out when they develop around 6 true leaves to encourage a bushier plant.
- Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting out.
- Plant in a sunny location, in well-drained soil at a distance of 30-50cm apart.

Autumn sowings can be overwintered under glass for planting out the following spring.
