Acidanthera ‘Pink’

If you are looking for late-summer and autumn colour you can’t go wrong with these.

Plant them with white gladiolus or pastel dahlias for abundant borders or bright, cheerful containers.

Plant your acidanthera in a sunny spot.
Plant 10-15cm deep on a bed of sharp sand, in fertile, well-drained soil in the border or in a pot.
You could also pot them up earlier in the year and store them somewhere frost free.
Water well and keep them watered during the summer months. Taller plants will need staking.
Don’t forget to pick some. They are excellent cut flowers.

You can lift the corms in autumn and store them over the winter and plant them again when the frosts are over the following spring.
