The ‘Little Beauties for Pots Collection’ includes: Tulip ‘sylvestris’, Tulip ‘Hageri Little Beauty’, Iris reticulata ‘Harmony’, and Hyacinth ‘Woodstock’. This vibrant mix of compact, characterful spring bulbs is perfectly suited for pots or small gardens.

Tulip ‘sylvestris’ is a wild tulip which has soft yellow, star-shaped blooms. ‘Hageri Little Beauty’ has vivid pink petals and striking lavender-blue centres, perfect for early spring colour in containers. Iris ‘Harmony’ offers a burst of deep violet-blue with golden accents. Completing the collection, Hyacinth ‘Woodstock’ has rich burgundy blooms.

  • Plant between September-November, before the ground freezes. 
  • Loosen the soil to a depth of around 30cm and mix in organic matter to improve the drainage and soil quality. 
  • Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is double the depth of the bulb. 
  • Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards. 
  • Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil. 
  • Use a fertiliser in early spring, when new growth appears to support healthy blooms. 

• Plant between September-October before the ground freezes.
• If the soil is heavy clay, loosen it to a depth of around 10cm and mix in organic matter.
• Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is around 3 times the depth of the bulb height.
• Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards.
• Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil.

Growing instructions – Indoors

• Place the bulbs somewhere cool for 6-10 weeks before planting
• Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards.
• Gently cover the bulb but leave the top visible (around 1cm).
• Cover the pots and store them in a cool, dark location for 6-10 weeks (below 7c).
• Once shoots appear, move the pot to a bright location with indirect sunlight.
• Water as needed but don’t let the soil become soggy.

• Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is three times the depth of the bulb.

• Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil.
