Growing instructions – Indoors
- Place the bulbs somewhere cool for 6-10 weeks before planting
- Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards.
- Gently cover the bulb but leave the top visible (around 1cm).
- Cover the pots and store them in a cool, dark location for 6-10 weeks (below 7c).
- Once shoots appear, move the pot to a bright location with indirect sunlight.
- Water as needed but don’t let the soil become soggy.
Growing instructions – Outside
- Plant between October-November, before the ground freezes.
- Loosen the soil to a depth of around 30cm and mix in organic matter to improve the drainage and soil quality.
- Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is three times the depth of the bulb.
- Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards.
- Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil.
