- Sow the seeds indoors between February and April.
- Use trays of moist seed compost with good drainage.
- Cover the seeds very lightly with a thin layer of compost or vermiculite.
- Keep at a constant temperature of 20c until seedlings appear.
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots.
- Gradually harden off before planting out.
- Plant out in a sunny, well‑drained position after all danger of frost has past.
- Water regularly as plants establish, then reduce watering once they are established.
- Remove spent blooms to encourage more flowers and tidy growth.
