- Start the seeds indoors between February-April or September-November.
- Sow the seeds on the surface of moist compost and press them gently, but do not cover.
- Place in a heated propagator at a constant temperature of 18-20c.
- The seeds will germinate in 7-14 days.
- Once large enough to handle, transplant outside.
- Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
- Plant out once the risk of frost has passed (May–June) in a cool,sunny position.
- Can be sown in September-November and overwintered for flowering the next summer
