Sowing and Growing

Zinnias do not like root disturbance, so it is better to sow in modules or directly where they will grow. Zinnias do not like cold nights.

• Sow indoors in March in modules and cover lightly
• Or sow outdoors in drills 30cm apart when the risk of frost is over

Zinnias are a low maintenance flower. Once planted outside, water them well to get them established. Cut the flowers often to encourage more flowering. They may need staking for support.

Go crazy with vibrant colour combinations – you can’t go wrong with these. The madder, the better!
