- Soak the seeds for 24 hours prior to sowing.
- Sow seeds indoors 5mm deep in well-drained seed compost.
- Keep at a constant temperature of 20-24c and germination will occur within 7-28 days.
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots.
- Harden off seedlings gradually before planting outdoors after the last frost.
- Choose a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil.
- Use gloves and space plants 30cm apart.
- Wash hands after handling.
- Be aware that the plant can self-seed if seed pods are left on into late autumn.
