Radish Black Spanish Round

A unique, black-skinned radish with globe-shaped roots up to 2.5 inches in diameter that has a hot flavour and crisp white flesh. These radishes also last well after picking. The variety can be sown from early spring, but crop well into the winter if sown in July-August. Ideal for salads, stir fries, and cooking.

  1. Loosen and remove any rocks from the soil.
  2. Sow the seeds directly outside on moist soil, when the temperature is 10c+.
  3. Lightly cover the seeds and water as necessary.
  4. Germination should occur between 5-10 days.
  5. Around 1 week after the seedlings have germinated, thin them to 3-5cm apart
  6. As the seedlings grow, eventually thin them to 10cm.
  7. Regularly weed and water the area.
  8. Harvest around 4-5 weeks after sowing
