Sage (Salvia Officinalis) – Growing Instructions

  1. Sow your seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium.
  2. Lightly mist the seeds with water.
  3. Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray
  4. Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in.
  5. Leave the seeds undisturbed for 2 days, there will be enough moisture in the tray for the seedlings. If more water is added, then it increases the chance of mould growing.
  6. Once the seedlings are 1cm tall, place in a well-lit location.
  7. When watering the seedlings, keep using the bottom tray.
  8. Harvest when the seedlings are 5-7cm tall. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
