Radish China Rose – Growing Instructions
Grow as a microgreen
- Sow your seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium (3-5cm deep) and lightly mist the seeds with water.
- Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray.
- Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in. Then place a weight inside to encourage the roots to grow down and to help the seeds make good contact with the growing medium.
- After day 2-4, remove the cover and place in a well-lit location.
- When watering the seedlings, keep using the bottom tray.
- Harvest between 8-12 days or when the seedlings are 3-6cm tall. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
Grow as a sprouting
- Clean and sterilise the sprouter.
- Put the seeds in the sprouter and cover with room temperature water
- Soak the seeds for 6-8 hours.
- Drain all of the water until the seeds are damp.
- Place the seeds in the sprouter and cover with a lid
- Make sure to rinse the seeds 2-3 times a day until harvesting around days 5-6.
