Lychnis coronaria ‘Angel’s Blush’ (Rose Campion) is a short-lived perennial with soft pink flowers above silvery-grey foliage. Thriving in sunny borders and cottage gardens, adding colour from early summer.

  1. Start the seeds indoors from February-May.
  2. Sow thinly on the surface of seed compost and press them in lightly.
  3. Don’t cover as light is needed for germination.
  4. Keep consistently moist and at 20c until seedlings appear.
  5. Germination should occur in 10-20 days.
  6. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into small pots and grow them on.
  7. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions.
  8. Plant out after the risk of frost has passed, spacing plants about 40cm apart in their final position.
  9. Cut back after flowering to encourage further blooms and prevent self‑seeding.
