- Sow the seeds indoors between February-April.
- Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of moist, seed compost and lightly cover.
- Keep at about 18-20c until seedlings emerge, usually within 18-28 days.
- Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots.
- Gradually acclimatise the plants to outdoor conditions before planting out.
- Plant out after the risk of frost has passed into their final flowering position.
- Space plants about 30-40 cm apart in borders or beds.
- Water regularly until established.
- Deadhead faded flowers to encourage continued blooming.
- Cut back in autumn after flowering to maintain tidy clumps.
