- Sow the seeds directly, at a depth of 15mm between April-August in a prepared bed.
- Water as necessary and the seeds should germinate between 14-21 days.
- If sowing indoors, transplant the seedlings when they reach 10cm.
- Thin or space out plants to 25cm apart when large enough.
- Use netting to deter pests and water regularly as needed.
- Harvest young leaves or leave autumn sowings in the ground through winter.
- Frosts enhance the flavour, so picking after cold spells is ideal.
