- Sow undercover between April-May.
- Plant the seed 1.5cm deep, on its edge to reduce the risk of rotting.
- Lightly cover and place in a propagator at a temperature of 20c or higher.
- Gradually harden off the seedlings after the first true leaves develop.
- Transplant into the growing position late May to early June, after the risk of frost has passed.
- Choose a well-drained, sunny site sheltered from strong winds.
- Provide plenty of space for the plant to spread.
- Water as needed and keep the area weed free for good air circulation.
- Harvest and use for decoration, don’t eat the fruit.
