Crocus Pickwick

Crocus Pickwick is known for its large blooms which with distinctive, dark lilac striped petals. This variety makes an excellent addition to borders, rockeries, or when planted en-masse in lawns.

Growing Instructions

  • Plant between September-October before the ground freezes. 
  • If the soil is heavy clay, loosen it to a depth of around 10cm and mix in organic matter. 
  • Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is around 3 times the depth of the bulb height. 
  • Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards. 
  • Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil.

Light: Full sun or partial shade
Flowering Time: February-March
Bulb Size: 8-9cm

• Choose a location that receives full sun, ideally at least six hours of direct sunlight daily.
• Allow foliage to die back naturally before removing it to help replenish nutrients for next year’s growth.
• The clumps will multiply and expand each year.
