- Start the seeds indoors between March-May.
- Sow the seeds on the surface of moist compost and lightly cover
- Place in a heated propagator at a constant temperature of 20c.
- Alternatively, sow directly outside between May-June.
- The seeds will germinate in 7-21 days.
- Once the seedlings are 5-7cm, transplant into individual pots.
- Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
- When the seedlings have formed 2-3 pairs of leaves, pinch out the tips.
- Plant out once the risk of frost has passed (May-June).
- If growing in pots, use a liquid feed every couple of weeks.
Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Daydream’ produces tall, elegant plants with slightly smaller, daisy-like flowers featuring a soft pink inner circle and a small golden eye. Very early flowering, it is ideal for borders, cottage gardens, or cutting.
