- Sow seeds directly outdoors from March-May or in late August-September for earlier blooms the following year.
- Scatter seeds thinly on the surface of finely raked, well-drained soil and lightly cover with a fine layer of soil.
- Water gently to keep the soil just moist until germination.
- Seeds will germinate in 14-21 days in warm conditions.
- Once seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 15-20cm apart.
- Autumn sowings will overwinter and flower earlier the following summer.
