- If sown as a wildflower, it best to scarify the area to disturb/expose the soil.
- Sow in late summer or early spring as the soil warms.
- Ideally the seed should be lightly covered or at least rolled in or walked over to ensure good soil contact.
- Sown as a single crop on bare/clean soil (10g per square metre). Reduce this by 75% if being introduced to an established grass area.
- Flowering occurs from June to August.
- Thrives on free draining, alkaline and calcareous soils (pH6.2 or above). It will not grow well on moisture-retentive or acidic soils.
- Drought resistant.
