- Plant as soon as possible after delivery, while the plants are fresh and green.
- There may be some yellow leaves, but these will be replaced once established.
- Choose a sunny or partially shaded position with well-drained soil.
- If the soil is heavy, loosen it to a depth of around 10cm and mix in organic matter to improve drainage and soil quality.
- Soak the roots for an hour before planting.
- Use a hand trowel to make a planting hole deep enough for the roots to sit comfortably.
- Place the plant in the hole with the roots spread downwards and the base of the stem level with the soil surface.
- Water well after planting to help the plants settle in.
