Autumn & Winter Veg Bundle

The ultimate Kale variety originating from Tuscany, often referred to as Palm Kale or Black Tuscan Kale. A non-heading variety, the robust plants will produce rich, succulent, tasty, dark green leaves (pick them when they're young and tender) throughout the harshest winters.

A well known and favourite Italian vegetable.

An excellent early F1 hybrid producing uniform crops of fine long shanks with dark green leaves.

Suitable for succession sowings from early spring through to autumn due to its excellent cold tolerance.

This variety is universally recognised as being the best variety for an autumn sowing. It establishes itself very quickly, easily and will produce a very early and heavy reliable crop of white beans. On medium sized plants of 6-7 beans per pod.

Florence fennel is grown primarily for its fleshy bulb, which has a delicious aniseed flavour, although the leaves can also be utilised. This variety only grows up to 90cm tall, which makes it ideal for smaller gardens.

The Bulb can be steamed or boiled and served with a creamy sauce or used raw in salads.

NOTE: This is not the same as Common Fennel grown purely for its leaves.

An heirloom variety dating back to 1860 which delivers densely packed leaves with a dark red solid heart from Autumn through to Xmas.

Red Drumhead is renowned for cooking and pickling, holding its flavour and deep purple-red colour.

A fine, dark green leaved early maturing variety, large in size with a spreading rather than upright habit. Extra large semi-savoyed lance-shaped leaves are cold-hardy, flavoursome and tender.

Best for late summer and autumn sowing for winter and spring use. Will survive early winter unprotected, but best under a cloche or fleece during mid winter against the cold and winter birds.
