Caraway is a biennial herb that is native to Europe and Western Asia. This hardy plant matures and flowers in the second season, producing feathery leaves with delicate, white flowers. The whole plant is edible, most commonly the leaves are added to salads and soups. The roots are similar to parsnips and carrots and the seeds can be enjoyed in bread and cheese.
