- Soak your bare-roots in water for 4-5 hours before you plant them
- Pot them up into 1L or 2L pots depending on root size in a good multipurpose compost.
- Position the crown, the top of the root system, just below the soil surface.
- Place the pot somewhere outside in a sheltered position. Keep an eye on them and check for slugs and snails as they grow.
- Once there is a good amount of growth, you can plant them in their final position in the border.
Tips: You can divide phlox every 2-3 years in autumn or spring.
