- Soak your bare-roots in water for 3-4 hours before you plant them
- Pot them up into 1L or 2L pots depending on root size in a good multipurpose compost. Or plant them directly in the ground.
- Position the crown, the top of the root system, just below the soil surface. Water well.
- Place the pot somewhere outside in a sheltered position.
- Once there is a good amount of growth, you can plant them in their final position in the border.
