- Surface sow seeds onto moist, well-drained seed compost from February-April.
- Place in a propagator at 18c and germination will occur in 10-14 days.
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 8cm pots.
- Grow on in a cool greenhouse or bright windowsill, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged.
- Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions before planting outside.
- Plant out in moist, well-drained soil in full sun, spacing plants 60cm apart, once all risk of frost has passed.
- Pinch out growing tips to encourage a bushier growth.
- Regularly deadhead to prolong the flowering window.
