Leek Jolant – Growing Instructions

1. Sow the seeds indoors, at a depth of 10mm. Place 4 seeds per 8cm pot.
2. Place at a temperature of 10-15c.
3. Germination should occur between 10-14 days.
4. Once the first set of true leaves have developed, thin the seedlings to the strongest plant.
5. Gradually acclimatise the seedlings before planting outside when they are 20cm tall.
6. Alternatively, directly sow outdoors between March-April.
7. As the seedlings grow, thin them to 20cm apart.
8. Regularly weed and water the area as needed.
9. Harvest when the stem has a diameter of 1.5cm.
