PAPAVER POPPY RUPIFRAGRUM FLORE PLENO
A stunning compact perennial poppy also known as Orange feathers / Spanish Poppy with wonderful tissue paper double orange flowers of a gorgeous tangerine orange. These will flower on multiple stems for most of the summer (Apr-Aug), ideal en-mass or in smaller gardens. Dead heading on a regular basis will greatly extend the flowering periods.
Cultivation Advice PAPAVER POPPY RUPIFRAGRUM FLORE PLENO
- Can be sown in cool conditions spring or autumn, avoiding mid-summer and high temps.· Do not cover seed as these need light to germinate and maintain at 15 to 18C. Higher temperatures will produce poor / zero germination.· Grow the seedlings on in cool conditions until well established, then pot up individually into 9cm pots.· Best planted out from late spring onwards.
- Maintain in pots and over winter as necessary in a cool, well-ventilated place.
- Germination should begin to take place after about 10-14 days in ideal conditions.
- Sow onto a moist, free-draining seed compost in a plug tray or seed tray and keep moist.
