- Start the seeds indoors between March and April.
- Sow the seeds on the surface of moist compost and lightly cover.
- Place in a heated propagator at a constant temperature of 15-20c.
- Cold stratify if the seeds don’t germinate.
- Germination should occur in 10-28 days.
- Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots.
- Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
- When the seedlings have formed 2–3 pairs of true leaves, pinch out the tips.
- Plant out once the risk of frost has passed (May–June).
- Cut back after flowering to maintain a good shape.
