- Sow indoors from August-October or March-May, lightly covering the seed with compost.
- Alternatively, sow directly outdoors between March and May.
- Germination takes 14-21 days at 16-20c.
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 8cm pots.
- Overwinter under glass if autumn-sown, then plant out the following spring.
- Plant in a sunny, well-drained site, spacing plants 20cm apart.
- If direct sown, thin seedlings to 20cm.
- Water as needed until established.
- Make sowings every 2-3 weeks for a continuous display.
- Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
